***Now Taking Applications***Popeye would do best in a home with children 14 years or older and is generally good with other dogs.Occularly challenged Casanova looking for, well not much actually. Aptly named Popeye doesn't have the best vision due to needing an eye removed because of glaucoma and a poorly healed ulcer on his remaining eye. That doesn't stop him for a second and this little pug is chock-full of personality. Hobbies include listening to books on tape and sporting a monocle. He's the perfect man for anyone looking for a wink this valentine's day. If you are interested in adopting please come to 245 Dartnall Road, fill out an adoption application and speak with one of our Adoption Associates. Popeye is a sweet boy with lots of love to offer his new family. This little guy likes to think of himself as the boss and given the chance he will take full advantage. This boy is looking for someone to teach him what is acceptable behavior for a pet dog and what is not. Someone how is firm but not mean, who can take charge of this bossy man. Popeye doesn't always show his true colours at first but once he gets comfortable or you ask him to do something that he doesn't want to do, then his behavior changes. Obedience classes are recommended as always to teach him skills and to build a bond with his new owners. Crate training is also advised to keep him safe and out of trouble.. Little dogs tend to want to rule to roost so rules and structure are a must. Popeye will make a wonderful companion for adopters with lots of love to offer him. Supervision around children and other pets is advised .
