Ways to Give
It’s human nature to give…and the animals at the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA are pretty special recipients. Below we’ve listed the ways you can contribute to our efforts. Keep reading…get inspired…and take action!
One-time, on-line.
We make it extra-quick and extra-easy to support our work with an online donation through our secure site. Visa, Mastercard and Amex accepted.
Become a friend for life.
Set up a monthly donation program and help the animals all year long. As little as $5 a month will cover the costs of vaccination, medication and microchips for one dog or two cats. Set up your monthly “friends for life” donation by phone, mail or fax.
Plan for their future when you’re planning for yours.
A planned gift gives everyone peace of mind: you get substantial tax benefits and the animals get support they can count on. Options abound, from gifts of cash, stocks or property to life insurance policies, trusts and gift annuities. Your lawyer, financial planner or accountant can help you understand the substantial financial benefits to planned giving. For details on our programs, contact us.
Pay tribute to someone you love.
Honour a special person, pet or occasion with a tribute gift. We’ll send out a tribute card to let your special someone know of your thoughtful gift.
There are also a number of naming opportunities available, including plaques for our memorial wall and naming rooms, benches and spots in the HBSPCA garden after a special animal or person. Make it your business.
Think of the money your company spends on marketing—then think of the good a small portion of those dollars could do for animal protection in Hamilton and Burlington. By partnering with the HBSPCA, you’ll increase your organization’s profile and support a cause close to your heart. Financial and in-kind support are both very welcome. Send your gifts our way.
Many of us feel that we’ve got enough “stuff,” but try telling that to guests at your next holiday gathering, birthday party or other special event. Don’t squash their natural desire to give…instead, direct it our way! We accept cash donations…or you can encourage your guests to give items on our wish list (see below).
