Camps
Go wild! HBSPCA camps are a fantastic way for avid animal lovers to spend their days immersed in the world of our furry friends.
From guest speakers and field trips to crafts, games and hands-on interaction with animals at the shelter, our engaging and innovative camp programming helps kids develop compassion and respect for all living things.
Discovery Kids March Break Camp
- Ages 6 to 12
- 245 Dartnall Road
At our Discovery Kids March Break Camp, children learn about proper pet care, pet safety, how to stay safe around animals, owner responsibility and more. The children learn and have fun through periods of hands-on socialization with small animals, games, activities, crafts, special guest speakers and contests.
Full details on the camp, including fees, are included as part of the March Break Camp 2013 registration package.

HBSPCA Critter Camp - Summer, 2013
- Ages 6 to 12
- 245 Dartnall Road
Our summer camps run for eight weeks each summer—campers can attend for one week, two weeks…or more! Campers learn how to care for animals, how to properly handle them and why it’s so important to respect our animal friends. Each year we program activities to correspond with creative and fun theme weeks. Piles of Pets and Farm to Forest were big hits in 2012.
All weeks of camp include fun and informative lectures, hands-on socialization with small animals, games, activities, interesting guest speakers and fun weekly field trips. Please note that while the kids will have plenty of opportunities for hands-on socialization with the animals, they will not be working with them all day long.
Camp fees are outlined in the registration form.
