Mixed Breed, Large (over 44 lbs fully grown)/Mix
Peanut came to the SPCA when his owners were unable to provide him with proper care. He is under socialized and will require an adopter who has the time and patients to work with him. He is very fearful of most men and would do best with a female as his primary caregiver. He has had limited exposure to life outside of his house and yard. He has a hard time trusting strangers but once he knows you, he is a sweet silly guy. He is good with female dogs but tends to be confrontational with male dogs. Peanut would do best in an all adult home . Unfortunately he needs help learning to go the bathroom outside, as he has been allowed to urinate and defecate inside his previous home. Crate training is also a must to keep him out of trouble and to assist with housebreaking. Obedience classes are recommended as always to teach him skills and to build a bond with his new owners. As with any dog, rules and structure are a must. Peanut will make a wonderful companion for adopters with lots of love to offer him. Supervision around children and other pets is advised .bc
