Here at the shelter, there are homeless and neglected animals admitted every day. From one day to the next, we never know who will be carried in through the doors and what conditions they may be experiencing. ‘Pete’ arrived at the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA (HBSPCA) shelter in November 2014 as a stray from Hamilton Animal Services.
He was in immediate need of an eye removal surgery and had also tested positive for Ringworm. Pete completed his delicate surgery and settled in for a long recovery in foster care. Unfortunately, after completing his treatment for ringworm, he re-tested positive again, meaning many more weeks in foster care. But Pete grew big and strong and finally tested negative. This active guy was finally available for adoption – he found his forever home April 28th, 2015!
Now “Davis”, he has settled right in with his new family. “Davis loves to join in the cat chase around the house. He can be very affectionate with us, on his terms, and loves to lay on your lap while being pet. We are looking forward to many years together.” – Davis’ family
