Warehouse space urgently needed for unprecedented levels of donations to HBSPCA’s Popular “Pet Pantry Program”. Local community being asked to help house this valuable resource so pets at risk can remain with their families
The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA (HBSPCA) is thrilled to have received its largest ever Gift in Kind donation -- $1.5 million of pet food, approx. 1.1 million meals. Now the organization is calling on the local communities of Hamiliton Burlington for urgent support in storing this generous and sizable gift. HBSPCA’s Pet Pantry Program has grown significantly in recent years, both in need and contributions. Over 77,000 meals have already been provided this year.
“This gift is a demonstration of the goodwill we have in Hamilton and Burlington for our pets. It goes beyond feeding; it's about nurturing, caring, and supporting the well-being of our community's animals. We desperately need the support of our community now to house this food so that we can ensure every morsel gets into a happy pet’s mouth. This donation will make life-saving differences to the community of pets we serve, which has grown to 40,000+ animals.”

The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA recognizes that many families may face difficult financial times and may require assistance in caring for their pets. We believe that no one should face the difficult decision of having to surrender their pet because they cannot afford the cost of food. Our Pet Food Pantry program exists to support pet owners who are in need of support with pet food and basic supplies.
