Panther's Journey Toward's Adoption

My name is Panther, and my journey with the HBSPCA has been a long and winding road, marked by three distinct chapters in my life.

The first chapter began in the summer of 2019. The protection officers found me and brought me into the care of the HBSPCA. They were kind and attentive, ensuring I was spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed. Soon after, I was ready for adoption and found what I hoped would be my forever home.

Unfortunately, by the winter of 2019, I found myself back at the shelter. My adopter realized they couldn't take care of me as they had hoped. Once again, the HBSPCA welcomed me with open arms. I stayed there for a short period, receiving the care and attention I needed, until another family decided to take me home.

Fast forward to the late winter of 2024, and I was back at the HBSPCA for the third time. Now an early senior, I required more medical attention. The dedicated staff conducted thorough diagnostics, including blood work, radiographs, and a comprehensive eye examination. The Medical Director determined that I needed dental extractions and, sadly, the removal of my left eye. The caring staff watched over me as I recovered for two weeks, ensuring I healed properly and was comfortable.

Now, I am ready once again for a forever home, a place where I can finally settle down for good. My story is a testament to the HBSPCA’s unwavering commitment to animals like me. To them, we are not just temporary guests; we are family.
