Transportation
Ensuring Every Paw Has a Way!
A journey of care begins with a single step, or in our case, a joyous ride. HBSPCA is delighted to introduce our latest initiative – Pet Express: The HBSPCA Care Cruiser. With a sole purpose of making veterinary care as accessible as possible, we believe that neither distance nor transportation should ever be a barrier to your pet’s health.
Recognizing that many face transportation challenges, especially across sprawling regions, our free shuttle service steps in to bridge the distance. Serving areas including Flamborough, Ancaster, Waterdown, Stoney Creek, Dundas, and Burlington, our professionally trained volunteer drivers are on the move to make sure your beloved pets get the care they need.
How it works
Booking Your Ride
After confirming your appointment at our Companion Animal Hospital, simply book a spot on our "Pet Express". It's crucial to ensure you can safely transport your pet to the van – while our volunteers are here to assist, please remember that our current vans are not wheelchair accessible.
Availability
"Pet Express" is incredibly popular and operates on a first-come-first-serve basis. With hundreds of requests pouring in, early booking is your best bet to secure a spot.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, but we urge you to inform us as early as possible if you need to cancel. This way, another pet family could benefit from the service.
Contributions & Donations
While "Pet Express" is a free service, every donation helps in ensuring its longevity and efficiency. If you can, consider making a contribution. Every penny helps in 'driving' this mission forward, ensuring that more pets and their families can avail this service.
Trained Volunteers
Each ride with "Pet Express" is not just a journey, but an experience. Our trained volunteers, representatives of the HBSPCA, come with the expertise and resources to make every trip comfortable and memorable.
